The Ultimate 1980’s Touring Machine – the BMW K100

The BMW K100, a classic motorbike from the 1980s, became the focal point of a passion project for Volt Media producer David Hedge. This project allowed us to dive into the rich history and nostalgic charm of the iconic BMW K100, presenting a blend of technical prowess and creative storytelling.

• Night Shoots: Capturing the BMW K100 under the  atmospheric glow of night lights added a dramatic flair to the project.

• Recreation Scenes: A fun recreation featuring a young David Hedge in classic 80s denim brought a personal and nostalgic touch to the video.

• Era-Appropriate Graphics and Music: We used graphics and music from the 80s to authentically recreate the era, enhancing the viewer’s experience.

• Archive Footage: Incorporating vintage footage added depth to the storytelling.

• High-Quality Bike Imagery: We ensured that the video featured enough beautifully shot bike images to satisfy die-hard petrol heads.

Our experienced camera operator Joe Lawry filmed stunning vehicle tracking shots, capturing the BMW K100 in all its glory. The final product, published on YouTube, resonated with a passionate audience, finding a niche among enthusiasts of the BMW K100.
